PDF is an old and forgiving format, which is a polite way of saying that documents in the wild are full of surprises. Fonts that are not embedded, pages that claim to be one size and are another, files written by software that was itself guessing.

Our tools handle the ordinary cases well and will sometimes meet a file they cannot read correctly. Open the result and look at it before you send it to a client, file it with an authority, or delete the original.

⚠️Keep your original until you have checked the new file. A tool that edits a document does not keep a spare copy for you, because it never had one anywhere but your own device.

Not professional advice

This site is a set of utilities, not a service that reviews what is in your documents. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and using a tool on a document does not make it valid, compliant, or signed.

Use at your own risk

ICT For Media provides these tools free of charge and without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from using them, including a damaged file, a lost document, or a deadline missed because a conversion did not do what you expected. The terms of use set this out formally.

• Results depend on the file you start with, and on the browser and device you run it on.
• Very large documents can exhaust a browser tab's memory. If a job fails, that is usually why.
• We cannot recover a file for you. We never had it, so there is nothing on our side to restore.

About our privacy claims

We say your files never leave your device, and we mean it literally: the tools contain no code that transmits a document anywhere. You can confirm it yourself in about ten seconds, and we would rather you did than take it on faith. Here is how.

What we cannot speak for is the rest of your setup. A browser extension, a compromised device, or a network you do not control can all see things we never will. Our promise covers our code, not your whole computer.

Where this site links out, or shows advertising alongside the Google results on the search page, the content on the other side belongs to someone else. We do not check it, control it, or endorse it, and we are not responsible for what happens when you go there.

Availability and changes

Tools may change, improve or disappear. The site may be unavailable from time to time. None of it is guaranteed to stay as it is today, and we make no promise that a tool you rely on this month will still be here next year.
