PDF to PNG

Turn every page of a PDF into a sharp PNG. Pages are rendered at twice their natural size, which keeps text crisp when you drop them into a slide or a document. Your file never leaves this device.

What PDF to PNG does

Saving each page of a PDF as a PNG, the format to choose when the page is text, a diagram or line art and you want every pixel kept exactly as rendered.

What it does

  • Renders each page as a lossless PNG
  • Bundles the set into a zip, or lets you save single pages

What it does not do

  • Produce small files; PNG keeps everything, so use PDF to JPG for photo-heavy pages
  • Keep text selectable, since the result is an image of the page

Need to send this to someone?

Our sister site QRSansar hosts a document and gives you a short link and a QR code for it. That is handy for WhatsApp, a slide, a poster or a printed handout, and it avoids attachment size limits entirely. You can swap the file later and the link and QR code keep working.

Worth being clear about the difference: that is a hosting service, so your file is uploaded to it. Everything on PDFsansar stays on your device; sharing is the one job that cannot.

PDF to PNG: common questions

PNG or JPG: which should I pick?

PNG for screenshots, diagrams and anything with sharp text or flat colour, because it stores every pixel exactly. JPG for photographic pages where a much smaller file matters more than perfect precision.

What size are the images?

Each page is rendered at twice its natural size, so an A4 page comes out around 1190 by 1684 pixels. That stays crisp in a slide deck or a document.

Why are the files so large?

PNG does not throw anything away, which is the point of it. A page of dense text can easily run to a few megabytes. If that is a problem, the JPG version of this tool produces much smaller files.

Do the PNGs have transparent backgrounds?

No, they are painted on white. A PDF page is a sheet of paper, and leaving it transparent makes the text unreadable the moment you drop it on a dark background.
