How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. Drop the PDF onto the box above, or press “Choose a PDF file”.
  2. Click the pages you want, or type them in the box, such as 1-3, 7, 11, and press “Choose these”.
  3. To get each page as a file of its own, tick “Save each page as its own PDF (downloads a ZIP)”.
  4. Press “Extract & download”.

What Extract pages does

Pulling the pages you want out of a PDF into a new document: one chapter from a book, the invoice from a bundle of receipts, the three pages of a contract someone actually has to sign.

What it does

  • Saves your chosen pages as a new PDF, in their original order
  • Optionally gives you each page as its own file, bundled in a zip
  • Copies pages across without re-encoding, so quality is unchanged

What it does not do

  • Alter the file you started from
  • Rearrange the pages; pick them here, then reorder with Organize PDF if you need a different sequence

Need to send this to someone?

Our sister site QRSansar hosts a document and gives you a short link and a QR code for it. That is handy for WhatsApp, a slide, a poster or a printed handout, and it avoids attachment size limits entirely. You can swap the file later and the link and QR code keep working.

Worth being clear about the difference: that is a hosting service, so your file is uploaded to it. Everything on PDFsansar stays on your device; sharing is the one job that cannot.

Extract pages: common questions

Does the original file change?

Never. Nothing you do here writes to the file you opened: you get a new PDF and your original is untouched on disk.

Do the extracted pages keep their quality?

Yes. Pages are copied across as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. Nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed.

Can I get each page as its own file?

Yes. Tick the box and the chosen pages come back as separate PDFs in a zip, one per page, instead of a single combined document.

What order do the pages come out in?

Their original order, whichever order you picked them in. To rearrange them, use Organize PDF afterwards.
