TIFF to PDF
Turn TIFF files from a scanner or a fax into one PDF, every page of a multi-page file included, at the paper size they were scanned at. Most browsers can't open TIFF by themselves. This page can, and your files never leave this device.

TIFF scans and faxes, every page of a multi-page file. Converted on this device, never uploaded.
How to convert TIFF to PDF
- Press “Choose images” and pick your TIFF files, or drop them onto the box above. Each page of a multi-page TIFF appears as its own item.
- Put the pages in order with ↑ and ↓, and take out any you don't need with ✕.
- Leave the page size on “Fit each image” to keep the paper size each page was scanned at, or choose A4 or US Letter.
- Press “Convert & download” to save the PDF.
What TIFF to PDF does
TIFF is what scanners, fax software and document archives produce, often with a whole document's pages in one file, and what most browsers, phones and email previews will not open. This turns it into a PDF anybody can open, without sending the scan anywhere.
What it does
- Converts every page of single and multi-page TIFF files into one PDF, in the order you arrange them
- Reads the common kinds: black-and-white Group 3 and Group 4 fax, LZW, Deflate, PackBits and JPEG, in colour, greyscale or CMYK
- Keeps each page at the paper size it was scanned at, and corrects the tall pixels of a standard-resolution fax
- Takes JPG, PNG and HEIC in the same PDF
What it does not do
- Upload your scans; the decoder runs in this browser tab
- Make the text searchable; scanned pages go in as pictures, and that needs OCR
- Read BigTIFF files, JPEG 2000 compression or a few rare colour types; it names the problem instead of producing a blank page
- Clean up a scan by straightening it or removing specks

Need to send this to someone?
Our sister site QRSansar hosts a document and gives you a short link and a QR code for it. That is handy for WhatsApp, a slide, a poster or a printed handout, and it avoids attachment size limits entirely. You can swap the file later and the link and QR code keep working.
Worth being clear about the difference: that is a hosting service, so your file is uploaded to it. Everything on PDFsansar stays on your device; sharing is the one job that cannot.

TIFF to PDF: common questions
Will every page of a multi-page TIFF be included?
Yes. Scanners and fax software often save a whole document as one TIFF with several pages inside. Each page becomes a page of the PDF, in order, and you can add several TIFF files and arrange them. The small preview copies some scanners tuck inside the file are left out.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The first time you add a TIFF, your browser loads a small decoder from this site, once. After that every page is read, converted and put into the PDF inside this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
What size will the pages be?
The size of the paper that was scanned, whenever the file records its resolution, which scanners and fax machines do. A letter page scanned at 300 dpi comes out as a letter page. If a file does not say, choose A4 or US Letter and each page is fitted to that instead.
Will a fax come out squashed?
No. A standard-resolution fax has pixels about twice as tall as they are wide. Drawn as square pixels, the page comes out at half its height, which is a common fault in converters. This one reads the resolution in each direction and corrects it.
Will the scan lose quality?
Black-and-white and greyscale pages go in as PNG, which loses nothing, so the text stays crisp. Colour pages go in as high-quality JPG, which keeps the PDF a sensible size. A very large page is scaled down to what your browser can draw, which on an iPhone is about 16 megapixels.
Can I search or copy the text in the PDF?
No. Each page goes in as a picture of the page, so its text cannot be searched or copied. Making it searchable needs OCR: run the finished PDF through OCR PDF, which also works in your browser.
