Stamp DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL or anything else across every page, with a live preview as you type. It all happens in your browser, so your file never leaves this device.

How to add a watermark to a PDF
- Drop the PDF onto the box above, or press “Choose a PDF file”.
- Type your words in “Watermark text”. It starts as DRAFT.
- Pick a direction and a colour, then set the size and strength with the sliders while you watch the preview.
- Press “Watermark & download”. The watermark goes on every page.
What Watermark PDF does
Stamping text or a logo across every page: DRAFT so nobody circulates the wrong version, CONFIDENTIAL so it is obvious what the document is, or your own name on work you are sending out.
What it does
- Draws your text or image over every page, at the angle, size and strength you choose
- Shows a live preview so you can see it before committing
- Leaves the underlying content intact and selectable
What it does not do
- Protect the document; a watermark is a label, and a capable editor can strip it
- Hide anything underneath it, which is what Redact PDF is for
- Stop anyone copying the text, since the text is still there

Need to send this to someone?
Our sister site QRSansar hosts a document and gives you a short link and a QR code for it. That is handy for WhatsApp, a slide, a poster or a printed handout, and it avoids attachment size limits entirely. You can swap the file later and the link and QR code keep working.
Worth being clear about the difference: that is a hosting service, so your file is uploaded to it. Everything on PDFsansar stays on your device; sharing is the one job that cannot.

Watermark PDF: common questions
Can a watermark be removed?
By someone determined, yes. It is a layer drawn over your content, not baked into it, so a capable editor can strip it. Treat it as a clear label (DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, your name) rather than as protection.
Does it cover up the text underneath?
Visually it sits on top, but the text below stays selectable and searchable. If your goal is to hide something rather than label it, Redact PDF is the tool that actually removes it.
Can I use my logo instead of text?
Yes. Drop in a PNG or JPG and it is placed in the middle of every page. A PNG with a transparent background sits best over existing content.
What strength should I use?
Low enough to read the page through it, high enough to be unmissable: around 15-25% suits most documents. Turn it up if the point is to discourage reuse, down if the document still has to be read comfortably.
