Add two or more. Your files never leave this device.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Press “Choose PDF files” and pick two or more PDFs, or drop them onto the box above. You can add more later.
  2. Put them in order with the ↑ and ↓ buttons beside each file. ✕ takes one out.
  3. Press “Merge & download”. You get one PDF, put together on this device.

What Merge PDF does

Combining several PDFs into one file, in an order you choose: the scanned pages of a contract that came through separately, a report plus its appendices, or a set of receipts going to an accountant as one attachment instead of nine.

What it does

  • Joins any number of PDFs into a single document, in the order you arrange them
  • Copies pages across as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution
  • Leaves every original file untouched on your device

What it does not do

  • Re-compress or re-render anything, so nothing loses quality on the way in
  • Combine Word or image files; turn images into a PDF first with JPG to PDF
  • Merge in a fixed order; you decide it before pressing the button

Need to send this to someone?

Our sister site QRSansar hosts a document and gives you a short link and a QR code for it. That is handy for WhatsApp, a slide, a poster or a printed handout, and it avoids attachment size limits entirely. You can swap the file later and the link and QR code keep working.

Worth being clear about the difference: that is a hosting service, so your file is uploaded to it. Everything on PDFsansar stays on your device; sharing is the one job that cannot.

Merge PDF: common questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There is no limit set by us. The practical ceiling is your device, because every file is held in memory while the new document is assembled. A dozen ordinary documents is nothing; a dozen large scans on an old phone may not finish.

Can I change the order before merging?

Yes. Rearrange the list first: the order you see is the order you get. Drop in more files at any point before you press merge.

Does merging lower the quality?

No. Pages are copied into the new document exactly as they are, so text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution, and nothing is re-compressed.
