Really. The tools are JavaScript that runs inside your browser, and none of that code contains an instruction to send a document anywhere. There is no upload endpoint on this site to send one to.

Contracts, payroll, medical letters and identity scans are exactly the cases where uploading to a random website is a bad idea. That said, your employer may have its own rules about which tools you use, so check them first.

No. We count page views if you agreed to analytics, and a page view is all it is. File names, page counts, sizes and contents are never included in anything we measure. That is a rule we hold ourselves to, not a side effect.

We do not impose one. The real limit is your device: the whole document is held in your browser's memory while it works. A few hundred pages is fine on a laptop. On an older phone, a very large scanned file may run out of room and fail. If that happens, close other tabs and try again.

Yes, and the pages are built for small screens. Bear in mind that phones have less memory and slower processors, so a big job that takes seconds on a laptop can take a while on a handset.

Any current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, on desktop or mobile. The tools use standard browser features rather than anything exotic. Very old browsers may not work, and there is no fallback for them.

Yes. Once a tool has loaded you can disconnect and keep working, and PDFsansar installs to your home screen like an app. A tool you have never opened needs a connection the first time, because its code has to reach your device somehow. If you would rather not find that out on a plane, one tap in Account Settings makes every tool work offline.

Yes, with Unlock PDF. If the file only blocks copying or printing, that comes off with no password at all. If it needs a password to open, Unlock PDF removes it once you type it in. Without that password nothing here, or anywhere else, can read the file.

No. These tools edit the structure of the document rather than reprinting it, so text stays text and images keep their original quality. Rotating a page sets a flag on that page instead of converting it to a picture. Converting to JPG is the one exception, and that is the point of it.

It is free, with no account, no trial and no page limit. The catch, such as it is, is advertising: today just the Google results on the search page, which carry ads and pay for the rest. No tool has any.

The reason this works is that your device does the processing. We pay for a domain and static hosting, which costs very little, so we do not need to charge you or sell anything about you.

OCR, yes: OCR PDF reads the text in scanned pages and makes the file searchable, in your browser, with nothing uploaded. Word to PDF, not yet, and we will not fake it. Converting Office documents properly needs software that cannot realistically run in a browser tab, so adding it would mean a server and uploading your files, which is the one thing this site exists to avoid. If we ever do build it, it will be clearly separated and clearly labelled.

No. Decline the cookie notice and every tool works exactly as before. The only thing you change is whether an anonymous page view gets counted.

It may simply be new. Every one of the seventeen languages is now offered to search engines, with each tool and the explanations under it translated, and eight of them were only added in October 2026. Search engines take their time with new pages, often several weeks. Until yours shows up, pick it from the language menu on any page: everything already works in it.
